An understanding approach
Keeping up to date with the ever changing law is important at Reeds so that, as our client, you can accurately be advised whether any settlement in or out of Court, represents what is fair and appropriate in your circumstances.
We understand that the breakdown of a relationship can be one of the most traumatic events in a person’s life. It is not simply the fact that the relationship is over and a partnership has come to an end, but also the consequences of that breakdown, be it on children, business or personal finances. We provide advice tailored to each individual, which protects their interests but is also pragmatic and sensible.

We can also advise on mitigating the financial consequences of a relationship breakdown by offering expert advice at the outset or during a relationship to give clarity as to the consequences of that separation. We can prepare prenuptial, pre-registration or cohabitation agreements, as well as post nuptial or registration agreements, and give advice on more complex asset ownership structures designed to give certainty on separation or divorce.
As well as conventional representation, we have trained collaborative lawyers within our team, who can, if the case is suitable, assist in working with both parties and their lawyers without court proceedings to reach a settlement.
